ParallelPathdocumentation

Terms of use

These terms apply to using this ParallelPath server. They are a template provided with the software; the operator of this server may adapt them.

Operator of this server: shown here on each installed server (set by its administrator)

1. The service

ParallelPath helps separated parents communicate, plan and keep records. It is free, open-source beta software run independently by the operator above. The software's authors (DarkCipher Systems) do not run this server and are not a party to these terms.

2. Your account

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use ParallelPath to harass, threaten or abuse anyone; to share content that is unlawful, or that breaches a court order; to attempt to access other people's accounts or data; to interfere with the server's security or operation; or to upload malware.

The operator may suspend accounts that break these terms or the law, and may be required to act on court orders.

4. The record

5. Not professional advice

ParallelPath - including Tone Check and any AI feature - does not provide legal, financial, medical or psychological advice. Tone Check is an automated suggestion and may be wrong.

6. Emergencies

ParallelPath is not an emergency service. If anyone is in danger, contact the emergency services (999 in the UK, 112 in the EU, 911 in the US).

7. Availability and data

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". It may be interrupted, changed or ended. Keep your own copies of anything important (Reports and Download my data make this easy). See the disclaimer.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the operator and the software's authors are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by events outside their reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

9. Changes

The operator may update these terms and will announce material changes in the app.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of the country where the operator is established, unless mandatory consumer law says otherwise.
