Disclaimer - beta software, use at your own risk
ParallelPath is beta software. It is free and open source, provided "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. You use it at your own risk.
What this means
- It may contain bugs. It has been carefully designed and tested, but no software is free of defects. Features may change between versions.
- Keep your own copies. Regularly download reports and your data. Server operators must keep off-site backups and the offline recovery keys - without them, encrypted data cannot be recovered.
- Not a legal record-keeping service. Courts and authorities decide what evidence they accept. ParallelPath makes records hard to alter and easy to verify, but makes no promise that any particular court will rely on them.
- Not advice. Nothing in ParallelPath, including Tone Check or AI features, is legal, financial, medical or psychological advice.
- Not an emergency service. In an emergency call 999 (UK), 112 (EU) or 911 (US).
- Security is shared. The software includes strong protections (see Security), but the safety of a particular server also depends on its operator keeping it updated and secure, and on people protecting their own devices and passwords.
- Independent operators. Each server is run by its own operator. The authors (DarkCipher Systems) do not run, monitor or have access to your server or data.
